About the Event

When I started learning about Ayurveda, I also started learning more about my body as a woman.  Women's health is not talked about enough, in my opinion, and I'd love to support the conversation. This workshop is for those who menstruate or who identify as a woman and are interested in learning ways to support themselves. It includes lecture, oil massage and gentle movement. 

In this 2-hour workshop, you'll learn: 

-Basics of Ayurveda & and understanding of the doshas 

-What to eat during different times of your cycle and how it relates to the seasons

-Simple recipes and ways to use kitchen spices to support your cycle 

-Experience a yoga flow designed to be practiced during menstruation 

-Experience a real-time oil massage practice

-How Ayurveda looks at our hormones 

-Resources to continue your education 

This class will be recorded and you'll have access for a week after the live class to revisit. 

What you'll need: 

Wear comfortable clothes for movement 

A yoga mat, blankets, bolster, things to get comfortable 

Oil of choice: sesame oil, almond oil, or coconut oil is great-- can also use herbalized oil like from Farmtrue (use code: simplicity for a discount) 

Notebook for gems you'd like to jot down, and you'll be sent notes after the lecture as well
